TwitPic Hates Pornstars, PinkTweet Loves Them

We've been enjoying the photos some of our favorite pornstars have been posting to TwitPic—but apparently TwitPic isn't as enamored as we are. Recent reports indicate that several stars have had their TwitPic accounts suspended.

Oddly, many of the stars who were suspended (including @AvaRoseXXX, @NikkiBenz , @TheJessicaDrake, @DanaDeArmond, and @FlowerTucci) don't actually post pictures of the XXX sort (the things we've seen are mostly <s>PG-13</s> R-rated at best); apparently, their reputations were enough to raise Twitter's ire. Given the enthusiasm that many pornstars have shown for TwitPic, it's unfortunate to see that the feeling isn't mutual.

But fear not—all <s>is not</s> may not be lost! On the other end of the internet, some enterprising souls have created PinkTweet, a self-described "Twitter, but for porn." True, it only seems to have about six users at present, but we're sure it'll fare far, far better than X-Digg, TheXXXSpace, Sin2.0, SocialPorn, or any of the countless other "like this popular site, but for porn!" startups that we've seen.

Vanishd: A New Way To Watch Porn At Work

Do you need a way to watch porn (or, hell, surf any non-work related website) in the office without getting caught? Do you enjoy watching your porn through a teeny peephole, for that added voyeuristic effect? Like all good Web 2.0 apps, Vanishd lacks a key vowel, but it is also a fancy website that hides your naughty browsing behind another web page, which just may be what you're looking for. We find the interface a little annoying, frankly—but you know what else is annoying? Listening to your boss complain about all the porn you watch at work. Check out a video demonstration of Vanishd after the jump.

Currently in beta, the site promises to help you keep track of how often you get busy, and eventually give you some insight into your sex life. The only catch? You have to sign into Bedposted after every time you have sex. If you haven't fallen asleep first, that is.
Fuddit: Social Porn Tries Again

As you probably know, Reddit is a social 2.0 news web aggregation community link thingie place where people submit links and then argue about how dumb you are. Because a lot of people want to build their own web empire without even knowing how to program their VCR, Reddit recently decided to give them a head start by making their code open source. That means anyone can take the Reddit system, bend and shape it any way they like, and start their own custom version of the service. Naturally, it took about two minutes for someone to take that code and turn it into a porn site. So now we have yet another porn link collector—one that instead of banning everything remotely naughty like Digg does will likely soon be overrun by spam, fake Britney Spears sex tapes, and annoying affiliate sites that everyone already saw back in 2002. In fact, it's a lot like ... Reddit, which already has a NSFW channel buried deep within its own website! Or perhaps it will actually become useful. You never can tell with these things.

Providers, Hobbyists, And Hardwood Floors: Walking The Virtual Streets

Free and open discussion of things that were formerly considered taboo is one of the best things about the interweb: websites like Craigslist and The Erotic Review have made it easier than ever for <strike>johns</strike> hobbyists to hire <strike>hookers</strike> providers for <strike>sex</strike> sensual fun, and have also made it more convenient for <strike>sex workers</strike> auto racing enthusiasts to offer their services and network with one another. But that doesn't mean it's still not a mysterious enterprise with a language all its own (who knew that "We took a trip to the Mediterranean" was shorthand for "anal sex"?) and its own private message boards where users do their best to avoid the wrong kind of attention.

Take the website "Seattle Art Suppliers," for example, which used to be "St. Louis Auto Specialists"—and which is actually a forum where escorts and their customers can "discuss everything from gardening to philosophy to how they prefer one another's pubic hair to be groomed". (Or at least it was until an article about it appeared in the local alt weekly.) It seems that some discussions on the interweb still need to be kept under wraps after all. The more things change ...

How did they do it? Porn, of course! So naturally, now that the site is popular (and investors are likely getting nervous) they've decided to ban adult content. (That would be upsetting if it wasn't so typical.) Hey, porn bloggers probably need whatever service it is that they provide too!
Zivity's Big Score: Good Money After Bad?

We remain baffled by the tale of what is pretty much the only adult site to find acceptance (and cash) in the land of filthy rich web giants. You may remember us telling you about Zivity, an adult content "community" site that received a $1 million round of funding from some high-powered Silicon Valley venture capitalists. Well, seven months have gone by—an eternity in internet time—and the site has still not gone public, but we just saw the news that their benefactors have ponied up another $7 million. Good for them! Our only question is: Why?

According to insidery Valley blog Techcrunch, the site will remain in "private beta" mode until at least 2009, but has already secured $8 million in private financing. When it does eventually go public, it will pay the models and photographers who generate the most interest based on user votes ... but not with that $8 mil. That money will come from user subscription fees, since you will have to pay to look at and vote on content.

However, as we've wondered in the past with other pay-per-view ventures, with so much free content available on the web who will open their wallets for it, especially for non-hardcore work? (Zivity's motto is "tasteful" art and beauty shots). Nude photography in particular has oversaturated the web with dozens (hundreds, really) of artistic model and photo sites giving away thousands of free pictures, so it's hard to imagine an abundance of people lining up to hand over their credit card numbers. At least, not at the level that justifies an $8 million investment.

Obviously subscription models can work. They are working for many sites that actually turn a profit. But investors aren't willing to fund those companies, because they deal in hardcore porn, not art. Which is the better business investment?

On the other hand, we don't pretend to know anything about business or the details of this particular deal—we just know porn and how much we're willing to pay for it—so maybe we'll be the ones looking foolish in the end. Perhaps we should just trust in Zivity Co-Founder Cyan Banister. After all, she's not just the Chief Strategy Officer ... she's also one of the site's first nude models. (That's her up above, courtesy of old friend Merkley.)

(See update below.) Fans of the Digg phenomenon know how valuable it is for any site to get a link featured on the social bookmarking behemoth. That's why our fellow Gawker Media siblings are constantly sending out emails asking us to check out their Digged stories ... emails that we immediately delete. You see, to us gentle pornsmiths, a Digg button is little more than a useless hunk of code, one that automatically rejects any submission deemed "obscene" or "pornographic"—i.e., any link that includes Fleshbot.com as part of the URL.

That fact alone wouldn't bother us so much if we didn't then have to sit on our hands as Diggers bestow link love on all kinds of racy material from more "respectable" sites. For example, recent front page winners on Digg included a link to Terminator fuckbots that we featured here a while back (before it became a traffic bonanza for our geeky brothers at Gizmodo—and don't even get us started on that doggie sex toy post .) The point is that we often engage in some good, relatively harmless fun that the Digg community obviously enjoys, yet we aren't allowed in the the front door because we're "one of those" sites.

Now, we don't expect folks to start linking to our daily hardcore Flesh Flicks videos or anything ... but surely there must be some middle ground where porn lovers and folks with generous workplace filters can live in harmony. True, there have been several attempts to emulate the Digg model for adult sites, but they've all come up short.

Still, people love Digg and Digg lovers like sexy stuff. They helped earn a reprieve for that Fox News Porn parody after it was famously banned, other links submitted with "porn" or "extremely NSFW" in the headline do just fine ... and if you check out the "Best Of" lists from any of our sister sites, the most popular items (with or without Digging) are frequently sex related. So why can't we play along too?

Of course, cynics might say that this very post is just another shameless attempt to bait Digg and score some sweet hot pageview love of our very own. (And they'd be right—too bad we can't Digg this link.) Just don't tell us that you didn't want to share that Jesus fuck doll ad with all your friends in the 2.0 world. Even if stuff like that is probably what got us banned in the first place.

Stumble Porn: Fall Into Smut

Some of you <s>nerds</s> tech-savvy individuals may be familiar with the StumbleUpon toolbar that you install in your web browser to help you find cooking recipes or vlogs or whatever it is the kids are into these days. It works on the theory of the wisdom of crowds, as everyone using the toolbar combines internet forces to direct each other to the best, most interesting links. However, like every other Web 2.0 sensation looking for VC funding, it frowns upon pornography and so (like every other web sensation) someone co-opted the idea to create a porn-centric equivalent. (It's the circle of life!)

User-generated content needs, you know ... users, so at this point, StumblePorn may be better in theory than practice, but if it works so well for every other part of the web, why not the filthy part? Of course, why do you need anyone to tell you where to look for online smut when you have us? Did we ever steer you wrong? Ok, that one time ... but we were full of cough syrup and we forgot the safe word.

· Stumble Porn (stumbleporn.com)
Note: The site looks safe to us, but as with any service that requires a download and installing something on your computer, exercise appropriate caution.

Confused about why Playboy is entering the social networking game at such a late date with a site that doesn't even permit nudity? Let a Playboy VP and Valleywag's Owen Thomas explain it all for you. (And then come back and tell us what you learned.
Porn 2.0: Haven't We Been Here Before?

Teh internets are buzzing today with news about Zivity, a porny social networking site that's been likened to everything from MySpace to Playboy to Digg to Suicide Girls. If you're a regular reader of this site, you might be saying "Why is that news?" There must be half a dozen or more sites out there that have already tried to build a smuty website around the basic principles of Web 2.0—user-generated content, web-socializing, and community voting. So what makes this one special? It might have something to do with the $1 million it managed to sweet talk away from some high-powered Silicon Valley venture capitalists. You've got to have money to make money, and that's one advantage most of other earlier entires didn't have. Zivity is still in "beta" (aren't we all?) so we can't really tell you if its "innovative, patent-pending voting system" is really all that unique or if it will be worth ponying up the subscription fees to join, but if all goes according to plan, everyone involved will become filthy rich. (We'll settle for just filthy.) Fortunately, in the internet economy all you need is wild dreams and a big bank account and everything always turns a-ok. Right?

Are you sick of all those user-rated community porn sites that we've already covered here on Fleshbot and are looking for a new user-rated community porn site? Well, you're in luck because we've just come across yet another social porn venture, appropriately titled, uh ... Social Porn. You should know the drill by now—users submit smutty galleries, other users vote on the ones they like, and the cream rises to the top so that you can skim off only the best of the boobies that are out there. It's even got a familiar interface for folks who are used to that other web 2.0 place that we don't like to mention because they're too afraid to share our naughty links. Now that doesn't sound like the wave of the future, does it?

We're not sure why things like these always seem to happen in bunches, but after our post about video upload site T'nAFlix yesterday a friend reminded us about RedTube, a site we've noticed in the past, but lost in the shuffle. It probably has something to do with it's uncanny resemblance to YouPorn (and various other similar sites.) After checking it out again, however, we realized we might need to slip it back into our smut surfing rotation as it's quietly become one of the better video offerings out there. The clip are huge, but still sharp in quality and for some reason we're amused by the fact that when you rollover the thumbnail images you get a neat little mini-slideshow preview of the scene you're looking for. (Hey, we're easily amused.) Check it out yourself, and see if you can find something that turns you on. Ridiculously over-the-top fake cumshots anyone?

T'nA Flix: Still Another Porn Video Site

We've tried the whole torrent P2P file sharing thing, and frankly it's just way beyond our limited technical capabilities. Plus, we're lazy and impatient and don't like waiting for 50 GB files to reach our hard drive only to find that we pulled down the actual "DaVinci Code," instead of its Porn Valley equivalent. (You can imagineour crushing disappointment.) Sensing our distress, one of the more popular porn torrent sites, PureT'nA, has branched out into the YouTube dirty clone market with T'nAFlix. You can't download or embed their video clips yet, but you can browse some good quality streaming videos (and upload your own) that don't require extra programs or long waiting times to enjoy. Sure, it's not much different from any of your previous options (see our bloated list below), but as we always say, it's good to have more choices when it comes to online smut. Plus, there's Nina Hartley and her minions putting hot chicks through their paces currently featured on the main page ... how can you lose?

Gozongo Puts A Happy Face On Porn

Used to be in the old days, you'd dial up a website on the ol' computer box, you'd stare at the pictures of a naked lady for a little while, then you'd spend the next five-to-six hours looking for another site and a another naked lady. It was a painstaking, but necessary process. These days, the websites come to you via refined search engines and TGP pages. (And magic.) For some folks, however, that laissez-faire attitude just won't cut it. They need interactive, user-defined, customized, personalized, DIY and 2.0 smut, and there are sites like Gozongo that hope to deliver. This site feeds you page after page of TGP previews, but gives you a chance to vote each one up or down—using cute little faces!—then saves those ratings in its scientific sounding "porn brain," so it can bring you even better results every time you ask. The pages are also claimed to be filtered for spam, dead links, and general unpleasantness, and in our limited testing it does appear to be a clean (but not too clean) and friendly experience. The goal is basically to bring you good stuff from all over the net, while simultaneously keeping you occupied on one site for hours at a time. Sounds like a dangerous, yet irresistible proposition to us.

Air Sex Redux: Virgin Territory

We asked ... and you did not deliver. We had a lot of folks tell us how much they enjoyed our post on air sex, but our call for homemade imaginary lovemaking videos went unheeded. We understand that it's tough to be the first one to arrive at any party, so in an effort to pull you kids out of your shells, we decided to get the ball rolling ourselves by asking Friend of Fleshbot Nick McGlynn if he'd be interested in simulating some incredibly nasty, non-existent sex. Naturally, he jumped at the chance (we didn't even have to tell him why) and the results, well ... they speak for themselves. So now that the cherry is broken, let this be your guide and your inspiration to get out there make some sweet, sweet invisible nookie. We know you've got in you—you've just got to let it out.

Sloggi Thong Billboards: Create Your Own Controversy!

French lingerie maker Sloggi has an interesting marketing strategy of creating intentionally provocative billboards—and then placing them in equally provocative places, like near a mosque—that are certain to draw protests or outright bans. Controversy does make for a good PR strategy, and it is pretty much the only reason we know who they are. But rather than hog all the fun for themselves, they've set up a new website where You, Time's Person of the Year, can create your own Sloggi billboard that you can then use to shock stuffy grown-ups and any thong haters in your email address book. Pick the background, pick the models and poses (they might even take their shirts off for you) and you'll be making "consumer generated content" in no time! It's also a great way to waste a few more hours of your day once you've gotten Heather Vandeven to go as far as she can while staring at thongs. Don't you feel empowered?

Emergency Porn

We already know all about emergency porn. It's a special glass box filled a portable DVD player, back issues of Hustler, extra batteries, and a deck of naughty playing cards that we keep under our desk in case the power goes out and/or we're forced to flee from the authorities at a moment's notice. Every forward-thinking survivalist should have one, but if you haven't built your kit yet, you can try the other Emergency Porn instead. It's a new TGP portal site, but this time you run the show. You can add your own galleries, save the ones you like in groups, and easily pass links along to friends (if you have any.) Best of all, you can rate each gallery, then come back to the site and get recommendations for new galleries based on your ratings. Finally, the interface is flashy, but still easy to use. It's another one of those user-generated, Web 2.0 thingamajigs you've heard so much about, only this one seems to actually work. We can't promise it will cure snakebites or power a small generator, but if you ever need porn in a pinch, it just might be a lifesaver.
